これら全部本物の動物の剥製。
今では、許されなさそうですが、
この時代は剥製にして飾ってたんですね。
っていうか動物、こんなでかいの？！
Narural History Museum is amazing,
stunning, and magnificent!
This is A MUST GO PLACE.
There are hundreds of stuffed animals displayed.
I never thought they were so big!
You can never imagine the size from images on TV.
たとえばクマ。
本物はこわいというのは知っていたけど、
走れば逃げ切れるんじゃないかと思っていた私。
（ふざけた考えだったと反省）
本物のサイズを見て即断念。
えーっと、何メートルくらいかな。
２メートル５０はあるんじゃないかな。
とりあえず、これに襲われたら一瞬で
私の人生終わっちゃうね！
For instance, I thought I could run away from a bear.
Hey, it's huge!!!
What on earth is the size? It's not possible...!
I would be dead instantly if they attack me.
Shivers!
剥製が自然の中にいるような姿で
展示されてます。
とにかく必見です〜。
私はもちろんもう一度行きます。
ここはたくさんキッズ＋ベビーシッターのペアが
います。マンハッタンに住む女性のほとんどは
ベビーシッターを利用しているそうですよ。
スケッチしていたら、なんともかわいらしい子に
話しかけられました。富裕層のアクセントで（笑）
Animals are posed as they are still alive.
Some of them looked just like they were about
to move. It's horrific to think people killed them,
but it's a good place for kids to learn. (and for adults!)
I got inspired by them.
I made lots of drawings.
I'm making papier mache based on the sketches.
And I'm going back there tomorrow!
