大きな地図で見る

ニューヨークのストリートの作りって
すごくおもしろいんですね！

京都と共通するものがあって、親近感が
わきます。京都も一条・四条など、
分かりやすく番号分けされてますが、
ニューヨークもまさにそんな感じなんですね。
考えた人、えらいな〜。

興味のある方は、ココに書いてあることと
地図を照らし合わせてみてください。
（地図は拡大するとストリート名が
表示されます。）

行ってみたいチーズケーキ屋さんが、
East 11th streetのFirst avenueと
second avenueの間にあります！
見つけれた時は、ちょっとうれしかった♥
地図の見方を理解すると、すごく楽しく
なりますね。

私にとっては新鮮な発見だったんだけど、
ニューヨークのストリートがこんな作りだって
ことは、常識なのかしら（笑）

I just found out about the structure of NY streets.

I knew nothing about it, so first I didn't know what the numbers on the streets meant. I thought the city was much more difficult to get around though. Actually the structure is similar to Kyoto's. Streets in Kyoto are numbered from one to something too. The numbers are helpful to give directions.

I bet everyone got to know about the structure of NY long before, but to me it was absolutely new. I can't wait to walk on those streets actually! How exciting!
